ABOUT FRANK

Frank Sossamon

Frank is a North Carolina native and has resided in either Vance or Granville County for the past 38 years.

He has been married to his wife, Vicki, for 48 years and they have 3 adult children. Frank was a recipient of the 2020 Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for his tireless efforts to better the communities we live in.

As the former Senior Pastor at South Henderson Pentecostal Holiness Church for 36 years, member of the Executive Council of the Cornerstone Conference of the IPHC, founder and leader of the Chaplain Program and member of the Ethics Council at Maria Parham Hospital, former President and Board Member of the Henderson/Vance County Crime Stoppers for 30 years, a member of the Vance County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council, current President and Board Member of the Granville County Crime Stoppers for 10 years, and a member of the North Carolina Crime Stoppers Association Board of Directors, Frank understands the challenges facing our families and community.

 

Frank’s N.C. House Committee Appointments Include:

● Appropriations: helps write the state’s budget.

● Appropriations on Education: helps write the budget for the N.C. Department of Public Instruction, the K-12 system, N.C. Community Colleges and the UNC system.

● Commerce: which watches over economic development and commerce-related issues such as incentive awards.

● Education, K-12: a committee that oversees the public K-12 school system and charter schools.

● Transportation: which oversees the N.C. Department of Transportation and focuses on policy for highways, public transportation and transportation infrastructure.

Frank is honored to be chosen to serve on such important committees and committed to working hard to advance the legislative agenda of North Carolina, ensuring that North Carolina continues to move forward and remain competitive.
